Eastribe - Demo (Independent) - Back
All the way from what I believe is Varna, Bulgaria is Eastribe. They call themselves ìNeo Metalcoreî which does describe them pretty well since their music is in the Nu metal vein with somewhat of a hardcore tinge. Bands such as Korn, Pantera, Soulfly, Machine Head, Pink Floyd, Meshuggah, Dream Theater are their influences. The first few seem to be the most mainstay in their music.

Eastribe can get a decent groove going, like a rockiní metal groove ‚ almost a grunge feeling. For vocals they use a yelling style with a grimace, however sometimes they annoy because of the tone. Musically they seem to play slower than what you would thinkÖ With a lead-in build up you would expect something really aggressive afterwards, but it doesnít happen here.

The production needs some help, itís not horrible, but there are parts that could be cleaned up some. Overall the music is kind of boring, mostly due the very basic/simple composition to the songs, though there are a few decent parts.

Four tracks under thirteen minutes, but really itís only three songs on what I received since one track is cut off. One reason why I know this is that the first track is only four seconds, which is a mistake because the whole track is on their MySpace site. Gonna need a little more to get my attention, nice try though.
