1. How did the band get started? How did you meet and how long have you been together?

Lance Ozanix: Fuck! 2 decades ago, I got my school buddies together and formed SKITZO. Out of pure hatred for our town and people. It could have been a Columbine if we hadn't started SKITZO!

2. How would you describe your music?

Lance Ozanix: Therapy (not the band) just relentless no holds bared non-puss kill-core, with a demented style.

3. What are your biggest influences?

Lance Ozanix: Venom, Slayer, Hellhammer, Bathory, Nugent, 70's Kiss, and Misfits.

4. What influence do you think your bands has in music and metal today?

Lance Ozanix: Well, more bands are puting more of a shock development in their live show. So do we...just a puke here and there on bitches tits.

5. What made you want to be in the band? And if you weren’t in the band what would you be doing now?

Lance Ozanix: Readng a big book in my cell at San Quentin state prison for killing 6500 towns people in Cal. (Including the cops.)

6. Are any band members in side projects? If so what are they, and explain a little about them.

Lance Ozanix: Steve Smyth from Testament ( he and I have an Ozzy/Sabbath group called Sweetleaf. A tribute band, and another sabbath tribute Paranoid. Toxic Lopp, a Mentors type band, and speaking of Mentors the drummer of Victims Family, Tim and I were going to form a Mentors tribute.

7. How would you feel if a band took their sound from yours and became very well known?

Lance Ozanix: Well, it has happend, and I'm not inclined to say-under court ruling (we had a song in 1983 an instrumental called "Black Phantom," a song came out in 1985 called "Orion.")

8. What current bands do you like or respect?

Lance Ozanix: Not them!!! But I do respect Slayer, Megadeth, Type O Negitive - fun guys..crazy fucks from NY, Cro-mags, Kreator, Deceased (VA), Macabre, Hirax (LA), and Testament.

9. How many demos/albums do you have? Tell me about them!!

Lance Ozanix: 13 releases, 3 home videos, a new box set called "Barf Bag Box Set" - all our 80's demos re-released, on a vinyl too. But 2 cds, and we are working on our new cd "Assembly Of God" 7-9 songs! Plus a few CD comps. Like Lucio Fulci, Symphony of Fear with Gwar, Ministry, Deceased, & us too.

10. What demo/album do you like the best?

Lance Ozanix: our 1989 release was "Derangous" - was very peak of thrash metal hay day. We moved 3,000 copies. For doing it our selves it was great.

11. What is the meaning behind the songs?

Lance Ozanix: ALL our songs? Death, hate, doom, destrution, blood, gore, violence, killing, cannibals, torture.

12. What are the bands favorite songs?

Lance Ozanix: Castle of blood, Taste the blood.

13. What does the future hold for the band?

Lance Ozanix: I gotta take a piss soon!!?? Does that count? couple of more TV shows Springer, Ripley's and everyone check out I'm doing shit with the Boon Bros. gotta see this video they have for sell.

14. If you could play with any band who would it be and why?

Lance Ozanix: Bathory, or Venom, and I'd love to have "Britney Spears "Open For Me".....if you know what I mean,...I'd show her an puke fest like she never had.

15. Who writes the majority of the music?

Lance Ozanix: Me & drummers

16. Who has been the favorite band you’ve played with and why?

Lance Ozanix: MENTORS, 2 times we did Cal. tours with them...just pure chaos, debauchery, and a hell of a lot of laughs!! El duce is missed.

17. Where did you get the band name from?

Lance Ozanix: 1980-81 I named this group Venom (before I heard there was one from the UK). So one of my drummers came up with it...Tom or Dave??? They are still fighting about who came up with the name.....fuck it...I came up with it. (That solved that!) lol

18. Describe what the band is like live?

Lance Ozanix: As I said before tits, blood, puke, metal-thrash, circular mosh pits.

19. If you are gonna do any kind of video what would be in it?

Lance Ozanix: We did great videos avaliable on our web but if I were to doanother one? I'd have Tom Savini do make up....on all of them.

20. Are there any touring plans made; if so tell me about them?

Lance Ozanix: Non yet, just TV, Radio, and some Cal. live shows. And the new cd to be recorded. We may do a Chicago appearance, or NY!!

21. Where do you think the band will be 20 years from now?

Lance Ozanix: I'll tell ya, I'll be in the old folks Puking Dust!! (lol)
